In May 2008 Doolans Heavy Haulage was consolidated into the Silk Logistics Group.

The Silk Logistics Group is the result of five independent, family owned businesses amalgamating to create a business with a corporate restructure involving the merger of these highly successful family businesses within the Australian Transport and Logistics sector.  The other members of Silk Logistics Group include; Bunker Freightlines, Kagan Logistics, WA Freight Group and Hoffmann Transport.

At Silk Logistics Group we believe that in order to meet the growing needs of customers in the market place it is inevitable that logistics service providers will need to have greater scale and reach.

In a highly fragmented market we believe that customers want less suppliers, not more, they want suppliers that will deliver on their promises, they want a supplier that can provide expansive geographic coverage and they will value suppliers who can think outside the box to bring value for the customer in what otherwise may have been perceived as a commoditised task.

Our new building currently under construction in Access Park with completion scheduled for later this year will see both businesses finally united under one roof.
