Heavy Haulage Transport

Wind-Farm12

When transporting heavy machinery the inter-state route planning and organisation of permits is the most intensive as the regulations can vary between states, all of which must be completed before the load is moved.

Routes need to be assessed for the width and height of bridges; road weight of limits; width of access to sites; equipment required to load the machinery and optimal times for movement that will not impede peak traffic flows.

Quite often we will require approvals from the various shires which we may pass through. It may also be necessary to gain approvals or assistance from service providers i.e Telstra/Optus, Railway & Power Authorities etc.

Drivers of any escort vehicles that may be required, need to be registered to drive/operate in each state they pass through.

What this means, is lots of paperwork behind the scenes before your load begins it’s journey to it’s new destination.
